Carnival worker stumps most contestants, only one takes home prize
SEPTEMBER 11--For this week's "Friday Photo Fun" contest, entrants had to match up five arrestees with their respective occupations.
A careful analysis of the 1210 entries shows that a whopping number of contest participants believed that the gentleman in photo #1 was a carnival worker. He is actually a farmer. That miscalculation was a key reason why only one--one!--reader correctly sussed out the answer key: B-D-E-A-C.
We're waiting to hear back from the brilliant winner, who wrote from an AOL e-mail address. In return for such impressive sleuthing/guessing, the entrant gets their choice of a title on The New York Times fiction or nonfiction best seller list.
